Musician Alex Bagonza, popularly known as A Pass, has publicly blamed the local media for escalating and prolonging the feud between him and fellow artist Ykee Benda. The tension between the two artists reportedly began years ago following disputes related to Fik Fameica’s poorly received concert, with both musicians exchanging insults in various interviews.

During a recent appearance on Bruno K’s TikTok live stream, A Pass clarified that the media played a significant role in magnifying their differences. “Things are okay between us. We had a problem before but it was all because of the media. Media always brings chaos between us through their lies,” he stated. He explained that Ykee Benda insulted him while marketing his show, which prompted a retaliatory response, but they later resolved their issues privately.
A Pass also addressed speculation about Ykee Benda’s absence from his first concert at Serena Hotel, explaining that he wanted to be the sole male performer on stage. He noted that other collaborators like Elijah Kitaka and Azawi attended as guests without performing. Despite not frequently socializing publicly, A Pass emphasized that there is no bad blood between them and that they have performed their collaborative song ‘Turn Up D’ Vibe’ together on several occasions.
