Abitex Demands Pallaso’s Arrest for Violating Performance Ban.

Kampala – Events promoter Abbey Musinguzi, commonly known as Abitex, has called for the immediate arrest of singer Pius Mayanja, alias Pallaso, for defying a performance ban imposed by music promoters and the Uganda National Cultural Forum (UNCF). Pallaso had been barred from performing for nine months due to violent altercations with fellow musician Alien Skin.

Abitex, in a recent television interview, expressed frustration with law enforcement for failing to enforce the ban:
“We as promoters don’t have power without government and police. We appeal to the police to do their job and enforce the law. Pallaso is not above the law. He was banned from the stage, and we want to see that implemented,” he stated.

The promoter also criticized Kavuma Musa, popularly known as KT, for allowing Pallaso to perform at Spice Diana’s concert in defiance of the ban. According to Abitex, both the artist and the promoter should face legal consequences:

“KT violated the resolutions passed by the Uganda National Cultural Forum. We want Ragga Dee, as the chairman, to ensure that the police take action against Pallaso and his collaborators.”

Pallaso continues to headline shows despite the six-month performance ban from promoters and an additional nine-month sanction by the UNCF, raising concerns over regulatory enforcement within the entertainment industry.
