Rising musician Alien Skin has responded to Bobi Wine and the National Unity Platform (NUP) after recent remarks forgiving him for his controversial visit to their offices in Makerere-Kavule. The visit, which included graffiti sprayed on the party’s wall, ignited mixed reactions from supporters and political observers alike.
Alien Skin, known for his bold persona, questioned the party’s stance:
“They forgave me for what? And what could they have done? I had no intention of storming their offices, but I left graffiti as a signature for them to remember I was there,” he stated, dismissing any notion of hostility.
The musician also revealed his past association with NUP as a foot soldier two years ago. This familiarity with the party’s workings, he claimed, gave him insight into its structures and operations.
Addressing concerns about vandalism, Alien Skin downplayed the act, arguing that spray paint on a wall pales in comparison to more serious issues plaguing the nation. “But for all the problems we have in a country, is a spray really worth talking about? I was attacked recently at my house in a more violent way than that, but did I react?” he challenged.
His comments come amid increasing scrutiny of public figures engaging in politically charged incidents, raising questions about accountability and freedom of expression.
