Kampala, Uganda – Singer Derrick Biswanka, formerly of Fangone Forest Entertainment, has expressed strong dissatisfaction with the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF). He stated that if he were granted leadership over the federation—he would dissolve it due to its perceived lack of impact on adding value to artists’ careers.

Biswanka believes the UNMF primarily benefits a select group of musicians and serves as a rehearsal platform rather than providing meaningful support. He noted that few new artists from recent years attend their events, further questioning its relevance.
Instead—Biswanka proposed redirecting funds allocated to the federation towards supporting marginalized communities and those oppressed by those in power.
