Catherine Kusasira, a renowned Ugandan musician, has shared an emotional and heartfelt story about her long-standing relationship with Jennifer Nakangubi, widely known as Full Figure. In a recent interview with a local YouTuber, Kusasira revealed that Full Figure, now a prominent figure in Ugandan entertainment, began her journey as a housemaid, assisting Kusasira during a pivotal time in her life.
According to Kusasira, their paths first crossed in Bukomelo village, located in the Masaka district, where Kusasira was performing with the Eagles Band. At the time, Kusasira was pregnant and in need of assistance. She explained that Full Figure, who was vending goods on the streets of Bukomelo, was a perfect fit for the role, and so she offered her a chance to come work with her.

“We had gone for a performance in Bukomelo, and Jennifer was vending goods on the street. I was pregnant and needed someone to live with, so we picked her from the village and came back with her. She used to carry my clothes and other items to concerts and even took care of the child,” Kusasira shared.
Kusasira’s decision to bring Full Figure into her home marked the beginning of a close and supportive relationship between the two women. Full Figure was more than just a helper—she became a trusted part of Kusasira’s family. “She was so loved by my husband, and he supported her heavily,” Kusasira added, emphasizing the positive influence Full Figure had on her life during that period.

Despite the challenges they faced, Kusasira expressed gratitude for the role Full Figure played in her life, both personally and professionally. “I appreciate everything she contributed to me in various ways. I am very grateful to her and will forever remember her for that,” Kusasira remarked, noting the deep bond they share.
Over the years, the relationship between Kusasira and Full Figure has remained strong, and despite the ups and downs, Kusasira confirmed that they are still on good terms. Kusasira’s candid reflection on their history serves as a testament to the power of mentorship, gratitude, and the lasting impact of kindness.
