Kampala, Uganda – Renowned Ugandan musician Cinderella Sanyu (Cindy) has openly expressed admiration for fellow singer Winnie Nwagi, naming her as her favorite female artist in the Ugandan music industry.

However, despite her appreciation for Nwagi’s musical talent, Cindy did not shy away from criticizing her attitude, especially in how she interacts with her fans.
"I feel like there’s so much potential in the music industry, but I don’t see anyone with as much potential as Winnie Nwagi. I just couldn't overlook her bad manners and all that, but I still see her potential; she is my favorite among many others,” Cindy said.
Cindy, a respected figure in Uganda’s live band music scene, believes that if Winnie Nwagi fully utilizes her talent and resources, she can achieve even greater success.
“If she puts everything together—the talent, discipline, and industry resources—there is no limit to what she can accomplish,” she emphasized.
Winnie Nwagi, known for her powerful vocals and stage performances, has built a strong fan base but has also faced criticism for her public altercations and attitude towards critics and fans.

She has previously been involved in heated exchanges with fans online, has clashed with journalists, and has been seen in controversial situations.
Despite this, her music remains highly celebrated, and Cindy sees immense potential in her ability to become a leading force in Uganda’s music industry.
This revelation has sparked mixed reactions, with some agreeing with Cindy’s sentiments, while others argue that Nwagi’s confidence and strong personality should not be mistaken for bad behavior.
