Kampala, Uganda – Crysto Panda, the organizer of the Empele Festival, has provided insights into the altercation that occurred between the camps of artists Pallaso and Alien Skin during the event in Buloba. In an interview with Galaxy TV, Panda explained that he had personally contacted both artists prior to the festival to confirm their performance times, which both parties had agreed upon.

Pallaso arrived early due to a packed schedule, eager to complete his performance. However, as he took the stage, Alien Skin and his crew arrived late and parked directly in front of Pallaso’s vehicle. Concerned about potential conflict, Crysto approached Alien Skin to request that he move his cars to avoid any disruptions. “I explained that it was important to avoid any unnecessary conflict for the sake of the people attending and for safety reasons,” Panda recounted. Unfortunately, Alien Skin responded with laughter, which left Panda uncertain about his intentions.
As Pallaso began his performance, Alien Skin disrupted him by shouting “Bawe Bawe” into the microphone. In retaliation, Pallaso shot back with “Bino Bya Banene,” prompting cheers from the crowd. Crysto then alerted security and bouncers to intervene, but tensions escalated when Alien Skin’s crew jumped on stage.
After Pallaso finished performing, a physical confrontation broke out between the two camps. Although Pallaso managed to escape to his car, the altercation continued outside. This incident highlights ongoing rivalries in Uganda’s music scene and raises concerns about safety at public events.
