D Star Defends Mudra Against Carol Sky’s Allegations Over ‘Hozambe’ Royalties

Kampala, Uganda – Ugandan upcoming artist D Star, the owner of the hit song “Hozambe,” has strongly defended fellow artist Mudra D’ Viral against allegations made by singer Carol Sky regarding the song’s royalties.

Carol Sky recently accused Mudra of selfishly taking all the royalties from the song, claiming that D Star was left with nothing.

“Mudra is the one benefiting from the ‘Hozambe’ song. He took all the royalties from it on YouTube and other streaming platforms. He is so selfish; he took all the rights from the boy,” Carol Sky stated in an interview.

However, D Star has dismissed these claims, saying that Mudra deserves to benefit from the song because of the effort he put into promoting it.

D Star: “Mudra Made ‘Hozambe’ a Hit”

In a video circulating on social media, D Star expressed his gratitude towards Mudra, saying that he has no complaints about the song’s royalties.

“I don’t know why she is trying to tarnish the man’s name. She is after cheap popularity. Why involve other people in your fight with Mudra?” he questioned.

He further explained that Mudra:

  • Helped popularize the song, ensuring it reached a wider audience.
  • Invested his personal money into the production of the music video.
  • Featured in the song, making it a bigger hit than it would have been on its own.

According to D Star, Mudra’s involvement in “Hozambe” significantly boosted his music career, and he believes it is fair for Mudra to earn from the song.

“Mudra used his personal money to shoot the video and push the song. He deserves everything he gets from it. I have no issues with him,” D Star clarified.

D Star believes that Carol Sky is only making these allegations to gain cheap popularity by attacking Mudra.

"I think she is just looking for fame. Mudra helped me, and I appreciate him. I don’t have any problem with the song’s royalties," he emphasized.

As it stands, Mudra has not officially responded to the allegations, but D Star’s strong defense suggests that the accusations are unfounded and misleading.
