Former United States president Donald Trump’s twitter account has been restored, almost two years after his banishment from the social media platform for inciting violence.
Elon musk the new owner of the platform ran a poll on the social media site for his return where Trump had a slim majority of 51.8 percent voting in his favor.
“The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated,” Musk tweeted. And trump’s account reappeared on twitter once again though Trump had said earlier that he had no interest in returning to the platform.
Trump added that he would stick with his Truth Social platform, app developed by Trump Media & technology Group which he said had better user engagement than twitter.
