Kampala, Uganda – Prominent musician Eddy Kenzo has publicly refuted claims made by fellow artist King Saha, who accused him of failing to support his recent concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval. Following Saha’s successful concert, he criticized the music industry leadership, particularly Kenzo, for not intervening when police attempted to halt the event.
In a statement, Kenzo emphasized that he had no personal gain from Saha’s concert being canceled, noting that it would negatively impact many individuals involved, including vendors and staff. “What do I gain if Saha’s show doesn’t happen? It would mess with the earnings of the people involved,” he stated.
Kenzo explained that he received multiple calls from events promoter Abitex and manager Roger, asking for assistance in resolving issues with the police. He confirmed that he played a role in ensuring the concert proceeded smoothly and wished Saha good luck after the show.
