Rising star Elijah Kitaka is proving to be a powerhouse in Uganda’s entertainment industry. Over the past two years, he has consistently released music that resonates with fans, solidifying his place as a leading figure in the industry. Aside from his musical talent, Kitaka’s bold and often polarizing fashion choices have also set him apart, making him a trendsetter in both music and style.

Recently, the artist addressed the issue of competition in the music industry, clarifying that he does not see himself in direct rivalry with other artists. Instead, he is focused on keeping up with the sheer volume of new music being released.
"I am not into a personal competition with anyone. I am just in a musical competition; music is coming out of everywhere, and I am pressured to do it every day," he explained in an interview with a local television station.
Kitaka is not just making music for fame—he is on a mission to transform the Ugandan music scene. He believes that the industry is in a transitional phase, with new artists introducing diverse styles and sounds that challenge the conventional approach.
“I want to define the industry and change it going forward. In the next few years, I see Ugandan music changing for real. Most artists have been frustrated because of the dynamics in the industry. But in this generation, things are changing; new sounds and new artists are coming with different styles,” he stated.
With his talent, vision, and drive, Kitaka is poised to be a key player in shaping the future of Uganda’s music industry. His refusal to engage in unnecessary rivalries, coupled with his dedication to continuous growth, sets him apart as an artist who is not only about the music but also about progress and innovation.
