The Ugandan music industry has been shaken by a heated exchange between renowned events promoter Nobat Events and Western Uganda’s star, Omega 256. With just a month left before Omega 256’s highly anticipated concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval, Nobat Events has publicly declared that he is severing ties with the artist.

In a viral TikTok video, Nobat Events accused Omega 256 of disrespect and ingratitude, stating that despite his efforts in elevating her career and organizing the show, she has shown a lack of appreciation.
“I lift you from the dust, sell you to the world, make you great, and organize your concert at the point when no other promoter wants anything to do with you. After all this, you come out and disrespect me. Omega 256, you will act as an example to other artists. You will be a sacrifice for all other artists who have disrespected me. I warned you at the start, and you will know today,” Nobat ranted online.
Following his statement, Nobat revealed that he has canceled Omega’s show and is now looking for another artist to replace her on the same date. He emphasized his ability to organize a successful concert within days, citing Alien Skin’s recent impromptu concert as proof.
Despite this controversy, many industry insiders and fans believe the fallout is a calculated move to stir publicity for Omega’s concert. Speculation continues to swirl on whether the feud is genuine or a well-orchestrated promotional stunt
