Ugandan singer Fik Gaza has expressed strong opposition to Kalifah Aganaga’s candidacy for the Kawempe North Parliamentary seat, labeling his efforts as a “waste of time.” The criticism came after Aganaga was unveiled as a potential replacement for the late Hon. Mohamed Ssegirinya, following his nomination as the official flag bearer for the upcoming by-elections.

According to Fik Gaza, Aganaga is not suited for the political office due to his talkative nature and involvement in public controversies. Gaza stated that Aganaga’s propensity for propaganda and chaos would prevent him from handling the responsibilities that come with a parliamentary position. Furthermore, Gaza argued that Aganaga does not have any significant connections with the people of Kawempe, claiming that the voters are unlikely to support a candidate with whom they have no personal relationship.
In his criticism, Gaza emphasized that no one in the Kawempe area knows Aganaga well enough to vote for him. He described the people in the area as “tough” and stated that Aganaga would need to work harder to connect with them and gain their support. Gaza also voiced his personal refusal to vote for Aganaga, stressing that he believes the musician lacks the ability to perform well in a parliamentary role.
Despite Aganaga’s growing political aspirations, Gaza remains firm in his belief that the singer-turned-politician is overestimating his potential and will fail in the race. He advised Aganaga to step out of the contest before facing inevitable defeat.
