The charges against the duo stem from allegations that they made unauthorized deductions from PDM funds during the disbursement process to beneficiaries’ accounts, in direct violation of PDM guidelines. According to ASP Michael Kasadha, the spokesperson for Busoga North police, investigations have revealed that over 50 beneficiaries had their funds improperly deducted by the suspects.

The PDM initiative aims to uplift communities by providing financial support, making these allegations particularly concerning as they undermine public trust in such programs. President Yoweri Museveni has previously warned against the theft and misappropriation of funds allocated for the PDM, emphasizing the need for accountability and integrity among those managing public resources.

As the investigation continues, many are calling for transparency and swift action to ensure that those responsible are held accountable, reinforcing the importance of safeguarding funds meant for community development.
