Kampala, Uganda – In a tragic incident on Masaka Road, former Daily Monitor security reporter Risdel Kasasira lost his life following a car accident while returning from Kashari in Mbarara District with his family. The accident occurred on January 1st, leaving many in shock within the media fraternity.

Michael Kananura, spokesperson for Traffic and Road Safety Police, confirmed that Kasasira died instantly in the crash. Fortunately, a woman and child who were also in the vehicle survived. It is believed that Kasasira’s wife was behind the wheel at the time of the incident.
