Singer Gloria Busingye, popularly known as Gloria Bugie, has come forward to address allegations suggesting that she harbored jealousy towards her former label mate, Vivian Tendo, during their time at Yese Oman Rafiki’s Route Entertainment.
Speculations had been circulating that Gloria felt overshadowed by Vivian Tendo’s rise at the label, leading to her eventual departure. However, in a recent interview, Gloria dismissed these claims as baseless, affirming that she has always had a cordial relationship with Vivian. “I have no problem with Vivian Tendo. We still talk frequently on Snapchat and Instagram, and there has never been any bad blood between us,” Gloria clarified.

She further explained the real reason behind her exit from Route Entertainment, revealing that her departure was not due to competition with Vivian but rather a personal decision influenced by her education. “I joined Route Entertainment when I was still young and in school. Yese Oman Rafiki advised me to first focus on my education before diving fully into music,” she explained. During this period, the label signed Vivian Tendo, which coincided with Gloria’s break from active music.
After taking a year to concentrate on her studies, Gloria later decided to return to music, marking her transition to an independent career. She emphasized that her departure was amicable and had nothing to do with Vivian Tendo.
