Gravity suggests each family be offered Shs800k for Covid-19 relief

Local rapper Gereson Wabuyu alias Gravity Omutujju urges the newly appointed Prime Minister Hon Robinah Nabbanja to at least make sure that every family gets Ugx800,000 as Covid-19 relief money.

While speaking in an interview on Spark TV’s LiveWire show, Gravity Omutujju suggested that the Shs50.000 that was proposed to be sent to each family should be increased with Shs750,000 because Shs50k is too little to feed a family for 42 days.

He noted that if Shs800k is sent to families, it can enable them take good care of themselves during the 40 days of lockdown and will also help them to stay at home.

He went on to suggest that the process can be achieved if the money is sent to a particular head of the family in order to avoid funding some families twice.

In the same faith, Gravity also requested landlords to pardon their tenants during this tough period where many are not earning money to feed themselves and their families.
