Great Child Foundation is a foundation that aims to protect and empower vulnerable children with skills, love, homes and hope for a brighter future through strengthening their status in society hence providing them with physical, psychological, cultural, education, and spiritual care so as to mentor them into responsible adults.
The foundation runs a home based care model for the children and families, support to create safe community for every child. Its model leverages on partnerships to deliver welfare, good health and quality education to vulnerable children.
Its education program focuses on ensuring that every child is able to get quality education both formal and informal. They do this by partnering with schools and organizations that are into education. They also work with individuals to sponsor children as they are in school.
Education is the most important tool a child in povrty can receive, that can bring him/her the most success in society today. Education lessens the challenges a child will face in life.
Through health programs, the Foundation ensures that every child in their homes or under family engagement can be able to access medication at anytime in specific hospitals or clinics. It partners with different health institutes to support the foundation through their CSR programs.
They also partner with organizations that are running programs for youths in health dealing with issues of mental health, early pregnancy, and spread of STDS while provide counseling and guidance.
It ensures children and the entire community have access to quick clean water within a hygienic environment, proper dieting and food security throughout the year.
