High Court Grants Bail to Don Nasser and Promise Ateete Amid Child Trafficking Charges.

During the court session, presiding judge Andrew Bashaija extended a non-cash bond of UGX 50 million to each of Don Nasser’s four sureties. Additionally, the court mandated that Nduhukire surrender his passport to the registrar, restricting his international travel unless explicitly approved by the court.

The state alleges that between May 23, 2024, at various locations including Acacia Avenue, Tagore Apartments, Mawanda Road in Kampala, and Kito Zone in Kira Municipality, Wakiso District, Nduhukire and Ateete exploited a 16-year-old girl for sexual purposes. The case has attracted significant media attention and public outcry, highlighting ongoing concerns about child safety and trafficking in Uganda.
