The announcement was made by Elsie Nghikembua, Chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN), following a robust electoral process that began on November 27.

Nandi-Ndaitwah secured her position with 57.31% of the votes cast, defeating her main opponent Panduleni Itula, who received 25.50%. This election saw nearly 1.45 million eligible voters registered, showcasing significant public engagement despite some initial disruptions that extended voting periods in certain areas.
