Dr Besigye narrates :”I was meant to be dead after late Obote’s arrests, torture and later in the luwero bushes, but am not, thus means the God who has protected me through all the terrible situations i have faced in my life and still facing todate”
He noted he believes God has a reason for keeping him breathing.
” I wake-up everyday to make sure that l use every single minute of this gift of life he has spared for me, to struggle to bring a fundamental change to Uganda ,which took us to the bush to fight for, to see that the rest of the country lives by it today,”he noted
He said that he is not fighting for political leadership , power or money but he is fighting for freedoms, rights, rule of law, equal opportunities and fairness.
