IGP Byakagaba Reshuffles Senior Police Officers in 2025

Kampala, Uganda – The Inspector General of Police, Abbas Byakagaba, has conducted his first reshuffle of 2025, affecting seven senior police officers. The changes include the transfer of AIGP Geoffrey Musana to become the police attaché in South Sudan, replacing SCP Moses Sakira, who has been appointed Deputy Director of Research and Planning.

Other notable transfers include SCP Timothy Halango moving to the Directorate of Welfare and Production and CP Ben Mubangizi being appointed police attaché to Algeria. The reshuffle aims to optimize roles and responsibilities within the police force.
