Legendary musician Jose Chameleone has issued a stern warning to gossip monger Jane Namukasa after she spread false allegations about him. Namukasa claimed on social media that Chameleone was arrested following an altercation with his caretaker Juliet Zawedde in the United States. She further alleged that reports about the musician’s illness were fabricated and that he had been jailed for assault.
In response to these rumors, Chameleone confirmed that he is indeed ill and preparing to undergo pancreatic surgery, contradicting Namukasa’s claims. The video of her spreading these false accusations was shared with Chameleone by promoter Abitex, and he expressed his disappointment, stating that such baseless allegations could have led Namukasa into serious trouble.
Chameleone took to his own social media platforms to urge individuals to think carefully before posting misleading information. He thanked his fans and fellow Ugandans for their continued support and prayers as he prepares for surgery to treat his health condition.
The musician, who has been receiving medical treatment in the United States since December 2024, clarified that his hospital bills are being covered by the Ugandan government and Juliet Zawedde. Chameleone is currently accompanied by fellow artist Weasel, who is acting as his caretaker during this challenging time.
