Kampala, Uganda – Former socialite and model Judith Heard has found herself at the center of controversy following a post she made about the tragic death of Ahumuza Martha Murari, who died under mysterious circumstances at Mezo Noir nightclub.
In a lengthy post on her X (formerly Twitter) handle, Judith Heard shared a picture of the deceased and reflected on how her own life had changed after leaving the nightlife scene. She attributed her transformation to turning to God and distancing herself from bars and partying, suggesting that such a lifestyle could lead people down the wrong path.
Her post quickly gained traction, attracting both praise and criticism from the public.

Martha’s death occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning at Mezo Noir nightclub. Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango confirmed that she collapsed inside the manager’s office at around 3:30 AM before being rushed to Kampala Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
As part of the investigation, police have arrested Joseph Kalanzi and Edward Magambo, who are believed to have been present at the scene. Mezo Noir nightclub has since been closed as authorities continue to probe the circumstances leading to Martha’s death.
While the investigation is ongoing, the controversy surrounding Judith Heard’s remarks continues to fuel debate on social media, with many calling for sensitivity and justice for the deceased.
