Kalifah Aganaga Credits Bobi Wine for Inspiring His Entry into Politics.

Kampala, Uganda – Musician Kalifah Aganaga, who has been nominated by the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) as their candidate for the Kawempe North MP by-election, has revealed that his decision to join politics was significantly influenced by Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine. Aganaga expressed admiration for Bobi Wine’s political journey and stated that it reinforced his commitment to creating positive change in his community.

As a resident of Kawempe, Aganaga has always been driven to improve local conditions. He noted that witnessing success in other countries during his travels motivated him further to serve his people. “My desire to serve my people began when I was young,” he explained. The upcoming by-election is scheduled for March 13, 2025, following the passing of Hon. Muhammad Ssegirinya.

Aganaga will face stiff competition from candidates like Faridah Nambi (NRM) and Erias Luyimbazi Nalukoola (NUP). Despite these challenges, FDC officials are optimistic about Aganaga’s potential due to his strong connection with youth and community influence.
