Once completed, the Suam OSBP will streamline border management processes, allowing officers from both countries to operate from shared facilities. This will expedite the clearance of people and goods, reducing delays that have hindered trade flows between Kenya and Uganda.

The project includes the development of modern terminal buildings and the expansion of the 45-kilometer Suam-Kitale road, which will facilitate smoother transportation for passengers and cargo. The collaboration between Kenya and Uganda underscores the mutual benefits of the project for both nations.
