The rapper Lil Wayne has sold his waterfront home in Miami Beach Home, for $22.583 million, according to listing agent Cyril Matz of Douglas Elliman.
The rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., purchased the contemporary house for $16.75 million in 2018, property records show. He listed it for $29.5 million in September and later reduced the price to $28 million.
Located on Allison Island, a roughly 35-acre island in Biscayne Bay, the property has about 110 feet of water frontage and a dock. The house, built in 2017, spans roughly 10,600 square feet with seven bedrooms, Mr. Matz said.
There is a mahogany-clad entryway and a home theater with suede wall coverings. Sliding doors open to the backyard with a large swimming pool.

Mr. Matz said the roughly ½-acre property is one of the largest lots on the island and faces west, with views of La Gorce Island. “It’s arguably the best lot on Allison Island because of the size and its location,” he said.
In general, he said buyers have less urgency than they did last year, but the market is still strong with limited inventory. “Properties that are priced correctly, in the right locations, are selling,” he said.
Mr. Carter, who is originally from New Orleans, previously owned another Miami Beach property with a rooftop skate park and a shark lagoon. He sold that for $10 million in 2017. The musician recently announced plans to release the latest installment of his “Carter” album series.
