Madi, Uganda – The leadership of Madi West Nile Diocese has announced an ambitious budget of UGX 14 billion for the year 2025, which represents a significant increase from last year’s allocation of UGX 10 billion. This announcement was made by Bishop Charles Collins Andaku during his Christmas Fellowship address held on December 24 at the diocesan headquarters.
Bishop Andaku outlined five thematic priorities that will guide the diocese’s activities in the coming year: Spiritual Wellness, Human Resource Development, Diocesan Revenue Generation and Investment, Institutional, Household and Community Transformation, and Operational Management and Governance. He called upon Christians and supporters to actively participate in these initiatives to ensure that the diocese remains sustainable and transformative.
Highlighting the importance of community engagement during festive celebrations, Bishop Andaku cautioned against actions that could lead to suffering for others. He emphasized that public support is essential for achieving the diocese’s goals, particularly as it seeks to tackle pressing social issues like climate change through environmental initiatives such as tree planting.
As Madi West Nile Diocese prepares for an impactful year ahead, its strategic budget reflects a commitment to addressing both spiritual needs and social challenges within the community. The bishop’s call for unity and cooperation underscores the role of collective effort in driving positive change throughout the region.
