Kampala, Uganda – The Mufti of Uganda, Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje, has expressed strong disapproval of individuals within the Muslim community who are using Islam for personal and materialistic gains. Mubaje made these remarks during a meeting at the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) Headquarters, where he emphasized the importance of resolving disputes internally rather than resorting to legal action.

The meeting, attended by UMSC leaders and members, focused on various reports and policy reviews. Mubaje highlighted a recent court judgment that empowers the Muslim community to settle internal disputes before seeking legal recourse. He emphasized that this approach helps prevent public exposure of internal issues.
Mubaje also celebrated the successful 52nd Anniversary of the UMSC, which was attended by Vice President Jessica Alupo and international dignitaries. He commended the Anniversary Organising Committee and expressed gratitude to the UMSC leadership for their support
