Muhammad Ssegirinya, affectionately known as “Eddoboozi lya Kyebando” or “The Voice of Kyebando,” was a vibrant figure in Kampala’s political landscape. Born in 1988 in Kadugala, Masaka District, Ssegirinya rose from humble beginnings to become a powerful advocate for the marginalized. He began his journey in politics through radio talk shows, where his sharp wit and humor earned him widespread recognition.
Ssegirinya’s entry into formal politics was marked by his election as a councillor for Kawempe North, where he served from 2016 to 2021. He later joined the National Unity Platform (NUP) and won a parliamentary seat in 2021, becoming a prominent voice in the opposition.
