Born Dorcus Tendo Nantume, professionally known as Nandor Love, has come forward to reveal her hidden contributions to Uganda’s music scene, clearing misconceptions along the way.
First, she clarified that despite her affiliations, she was never a TNS artist:
“I was under Red Zone. We used to just partner with TNS,” she said, adding that Jeff Kiwa was more of a mentor who guided her career than an official manager.

Beyond her successful singles like “Mbalasi” and “Kinawolovu,” Nandor has penned major songs for several top acts:
- “Solome” by Carol Nantongo
- “Mikono Ju” by Big Eye
- “Otulo” by Zafaran
- “No Money No Love” and “Ntagala” by Warafiki
However, Nandor revealed that her role as a ghostwriter hasn’t always been respected. She highlighted her disappointment with Big Eye Starboss, who, when asked during an interview to credit the songwriter of “Mikono Ju,” attributed the work to someone else entirely, ignoring her contributions.
“I felt bad because I put effort into writing that song. Recognition matters,” she explained.
Moving forward, Nandor plans to digitally archive and publicize her songwriting credits, asserting her place in the Ugandan music industry and making it harder for anyone to erase her impact.
