Kampala, Uganda – Popular singer Omega 256 has officially canceled her highly anticipated concert, citing a lack of transparency and professionalism from events promoter Nobat Events.
In an exclusive interview with Capital FM, Omega 256 revealed that her fallout with Nobat Events began when she sought accountability regarding the concert’s preparations. According to the singer, Nobat failed to promote the event as agreed in their contract, leaving her with no choice but to raise concerns.

"We don’t see any ads running, we don’t have any banners, any billboards around town, and when we ask him, he says he knows what he’s doing. But to me, I saw that something was not right," Omega explained.
Unmet Expectations and Lack of Advertising
The singer claims that despite signing a contract with Nobat Events, the event promoter failed to execute key promotional strategies, such as printing fliers, running advertisements, and creating general buzz for the concert.
Additionally, Omega 256 stated that rehearsals had not begun because Nobat Events was responsible for covering band costs—an obligation he failed to fulfill.
Nobat’s Social Media Outburst.
Rather than addressing the concerns professionally, Omega claims that Nobat took to social media, ranting and accusing her of disrespect. Shortly after their fallout, Nobat Events publicly announced that they had withdrawn from organizing the concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval.

With the event now canceled, fans are left disappointed, while industry insiders question the professionalism of event promoters in Uganda. It remains unclear whether Omega 256 will attempt to reschedule the concert with another promoter in the near future.
