Pastor Bugingo Reflects on Survival and Loss After Shooting Incident

Kampala, Uganda – Pastor Aloysius Bugingo of House of Prayer Ministries has shared his heartfelt reflections following a tragic shooting that claimed the life of his close friend, Muhumuza Richard, several months ago. The incident occurred when Richard was driving Pastor Bugingo home, and they were ambushed by unknown assailants who opened fire on their vehicle. While Pastor Bugingo sustained bullet wounds to his back, Richard tragically died at the scene.

During a recent sermon, Pastor Bugingo expressed gratitude for surviving the attack and pondered the reasons behind his survival while his friend did not. “God knows why He took Richard and left me,” he stated. He believes that his continued existence serves a higher purpose, particularly in spreading the gospel and supporting Richard’s family.

Pastor Bugingo emphasized his commitment to providing for Richard’s family, asserting that he would ensure they are taken care of during this difficult time. He noted, “God foresaw this and played a role in the outcome of the attack.” His statements reflect a deep sense of responsibility towards his late friend’s family, reinforcing his belief in divine intervention.
