“Politics is Not My Thing” – Spice Diana Shuns Political Involvement.

Ugandan music sensation Spice Diana has reaffirmed her stance on political neutrality, stating that she has no intentions of venturing into politics. Despite maintaining cordial relationships with politicians from both the opposition and the government, she insists that her full commitment is to her music career.

During a recent interview, the Siri Regular hitmaker clarified that while she may offer support to some of her colleagues who choose to join politics, she has no personal interest in pursuing a political career.

"I am comfortable where I am, focusing on music. Politics is not my thing. I will support those of my friends who are joining where necessary, but I won't fully engage," she stated.

Spice Diana’s comments come at a time when Ugandan musicians are increasingly finding themselves drawn into political matters. In previous years, artists such as Bobi Wine, Dr. Hilderman, and Khalifa Aganaga have all transitioned into politics, leaving behind their musical careers.

However, Spice Diana believes that politics can be divisive and may negatively impact an artist’s career. "As musicians, our work is to entertain and unite people. Politics, on the other hand, tends to divide, and I don’t want that to affect my fanbase," she noted.

The singer has had a strong start to the year, with a successful concert at Serena Hotel in January, followed by a hit collaboration with King Saha on Valentine’s Day.

By distancing herself from politics, Spice Diana intends to solidify her position as one of Uganda’s top musicians, prioritizing music over political affiliations.
