President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni officially launched the “Yoweri” music album at Speke Resort Munyonyo on September 27, 2025, in a landmark event organized by Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) president Eddy Kenzo. The album, a unique project uniting artists across Uganda, celebrates the country’s musical heritage while symbolizing unity ahead of the 2026 general elections.

During the launch, Museveni pledged to invest between UGX 10 billion and 20 billion to support the music industry. The funds are intended to bolster zonal cooperatives, helping artistes expand their outreach both domestically and internationally. Museveni underscored his administration’s commitment to supporting creative arts, describing the album as a “gold mine” that showcases Uganda’s rich cultural diversity.
