Pretty Nicole Voices Disappointment Over Unfulfilled Promises by Hon. Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi

Kampala, Uganda – Pretty Nicole, also known as Nicole Musimenta, has publicly expressed frustration and disappointment, claiming that the promises made to her by Hon. Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi, the State Minister for Youth and Children Affairs, remain unfulfilled nearly four months after their initial meeting. Early this year, Pretty Nicole met with Hon. Balaam, who pledged to support her education by footing her school fees and providing necessary resources.

In addition, Hon. Balaam reportedly arranged for an opportunity for her to travel to Canada to gain skills in rehabilitating teenagers vulnerable to early marriage and other social challenges. However, Nicole revealed that she has yet to receive any tangible support or follow-up on these commitments.

She described the pledges as mere propaganda, possibly politically motivated to boost her morale and public image. “Hon. Balaam wasn’t the one paying my school fees. Maybe he was just excited for me accepting to return to school,” she said. Nicole further dismissed the proposed ambassadorial role, stating she is not interested in political appointments.

Her comments raise questions about accountability and the delivery of promises made to vulnerable youth, underscoring the need for transparent follow-through on political commitments.
