Western Uganda’s celebrated singer Ray G, whose real name is Reagan Muhairwe, has come to the defense of fellow artist Bebe Cool regarding his latest release, “Circumference.” During an appearance on NBS After 5, Ray G expressed his admiration for the song, which has faced mixed reviews since its debut.

Ray G explained that the music industry often sees a disconnect between the quality of a song and its reception. He noted that good songs sometimes receive minimal recognition, while poorly received tracks can gain attention through mockery and discussion. “A good song often gets a simple round of applause, while a bad song becomes the subject of jokes, inadvertently gaining popularity,” he stated.
Despite the criticism surrounding “Circumference,” Ray G maintained that the track is impressive and praised its creative music video. He suggested that there may be underlying reasons for the negative feedback but concluded that overall, “Circumference” is indeed a good song deserving of appreciation.
