Kampala, Uganda – Ugandan singer and songwriter Sama Sojah, whose real name is Ivan Tony Kizito, has confidently declared his dedication to creating timeless music, stating, “I only sing classics.” Despite a period of relative quiet in the music scene, Sojah insists he has never truly left, attributing his absence to fans looking for him in the wrong places.

The artist, known for his hit song “Nnyonyi Nyange,” emphasized that music is an integral part of his identity. He continues to craft purposeful and well-crafted songs that remain relevant over the years. During a recent media interview, he expressed pride in his work and commitment to producing music that resonates with audiences.
In addition to his musical endeavors, Sama Sojah has ventured into farming and livestock rearing, showcasing his versatility as a hustler always seeking financial opportunities. He described himself as an educated man with responsibilities as a husband and father, which motivates him to focus on his family rather than engage in conflicts with other musicians. His journey in the music industry began around the time of the late Mowzey Radio’s passing, and despite comparisons, he has carved out a unique identity with songs like “Akaama,” “Akadde,” and “Kikondoolo.”
