Ugandan singer and entrepreneur Sheebah Karungi has responded to Cindy Sanyu’s recent comments regarding their past friendship, making it clear that she remains an influential figure even in her absence from the music scene.
This comes after Cindy Sanyu, in a TikTok Live session, reflected on her relationship with Sheebah, stating that despite their long-standing feud, Sheebah has a good heart and once supported her during pregnancy.
During the live session, Cindy acknowledged that Sheebah had been a supportive friend before their relationship soured.
“Sheebah is a beautiful human being, but we have our issues. We were very close at some point, and I understand her personally. She even visited me daily and brought me fruits during my pregnancy.”
However, their once-strong bond eventually crumbled, leading to years of public feuding that culminated in a music battle between the two artists.
Although Sheebah has been keeping a low profile, focusing on her maternity journey, she could not ignore Cindy’s remarks.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Sheebah posted a sarcastic yet cryptic message implying that she remains a hot topic, even when she’s not in the spotlight.
"To the company now in charge of electricity in Uganda, I’m shocked you haven’t given me that ambassador contract yet. Clearly, I’m the perfect fit for the job! Banange Kisuse."
The statement subtly references Cindy’s remarks about Sheebah being the “electricity” that others plug into, reinforcing her belief that her name continues to be a subject of discussion and influence in the industry.
Sheebah and Cindy’s fallout has been one of the most talked-about rivalries in Ugandan music.
- 2019–2023: A series of verbal exchanges between the two musicians took center stage, with Cindy accusing Sheebah of lacking musical authenticity, while Sheebah criticized Cindy’s outdated style.
- 2023: Their rivalry peaked with a much-hyped music battle, which, despite entertaining fans, failed to mend their differences.
- 2024: Cindy, now a mother, appears to have softened her stance, but Sheebah’s recent response suggests that their conflict is far from over.
As Sheebah enjoys her time away from the public eye, Cindy’s comments have once again ignited interest in their relationship.
Whether this marks the beginning of reconciliation or another round of indirect jabs remains to be seen. One thing is clear: Sheebah Karungi’s influence in Ugandan music and entertainment remains as strong as ever.
