Sherry Matovu Steps Away from Music, Acknowledges Lack of Talent.

Kampala, Uganda – Sherry Matovu, a former artist in the Ugandan music scene, has announced her decision to step away from music, citing a lack of talent as the primary reason for her departure. In a candid revelation, Sherry expressed that despite her deep passion for music, she ultimately recognized that it was not her true calling.

“I had made my name from music, but I found out I had to do something different and support other people with talents,” she stated. Sherry reflected on her experiences in the industry, admitting that while she enjoyed singing, her voice did not meet the demands of the competitive music landscape. “I didn’t want to shame myself,” she explained, leading her to support those who possess the talent she felt she lacked.

Financially, Sherry noted that pursuing a music career was draining with minimal returns. “Music was also draining my finances,” she shared. Her decision to quit was not easy, but she believes it was necessary for her well-being. Since stepping away from music, Sherry has ventured into other profitable businesses that have provided her with greater success and stability.

Despite leaving the industry, Sherry has no regrets about her time as an artist and remains firm in her decision not to return to music. “It’s important to find yourself and not waste your time, money, and age,” she concluded.
