Kampala, Uganda – Popular Kampala Deejay and Bukedde FM host, Suuna Ben, has made a bold declaration regarding marriage, stating that he has no intention of ever getting married.
In an exclusive interview with a local television station, Suuna Ben compared his stance to that of Frank Gashumba, a well-known Ugandan media personality and businessman who has also expressed skepticism towards marriage.

“I have never been married, and I will never get married. I don’t see anything good in marriage. I want to live alone like Frank Gashumba.”
Suuna Ben previously had a romantic relationship with Mary Nambwayo, and the two share a child. However, their relationship faced serious conflicts over property ownership, which ultimately strained their bond.
While they have since made peace, Suuna Ben remains firm in his decision never to marry, arguing that many women today approach marriage with different motives that often lead to men’s suffering.
“Women have made it difficult for men to get married because they have different goals. Instead of supporting their husbands, many bring only problems.”
Despite his stance against marriage, Suuna Ben offered advice to married women, urging them to create harmony in their homes and ensure that young people are encouraged to embrace the institution of marriage.
“Women should do more good in marriage and maintain peace so that young couples might be encouraged to enter into it.”
Suuna Ben’s remarks have sparked widespread discussion, with some supporting his views while others argue that marriage remains a valuable institution for those willing to invest in it.
