Erik Ten Hag’s side are paired with FC Copenhagen from Denmark and Turkish side Galatasaray in Group A.

Newcastle being handed the toughest draw and group of death are to face French league 1 winners Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund and seven-time winners AC Milan.
Premier league champions Manchester City are handed a favourable draw as they are paired with RB Leipzig for the third Champions League campaign in a row, as well as Red Star Belgrade and Swiss club Young Boys.
Scottish winners Celtic to play Atletico Madrid in their group, along with Lazio and Dutch champions Feyenoord.
Spanish giants Barcelona will face Portuguese FC Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Belgian Royal Antwerp in Group H
The group stages will officially begin on September 19th and 20th for the match day 1.
During the event, Uefa awarded the best men’s and female’s player of the year award.
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland and Spain’s World Cup-winning star Aitana Bonmati won the UEFA Men’s and Women’s Player of the Year awards respectively.
Haaland scored 52 goals in 53 games as City won the treble of Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup.
“To be able to do this with my teammates it’s really special and it gives me motivation to keep working,” Haaland said upon winning the award.
