International R&B icon Tyrese Gibson has confirmed his visit to Uganda to participate in the upcoming Coffee Festival and support the Coffee Marathon on May 24, 2025.
The Grammy-nominated artist and actor took to Instagram to express his excitement about visiting the East African nation, stating:

“Rumor has it. I’m on my way to Uganda. If you’re looking for a confirmation, it’s true.”
The announcement has sparked excitement among fans, coffee enthusiasts, and the tourism sector, as Uganda continues to gain global recognition for its premium coffee industry and vibrant cultural experiences.
In addition to attending the Coffee Festival, Tyrese has pledged his support for the Coffee Marathon, an event aimed at empowering rural women in Uganda’s coffee-producing communities.

“I am also standing in support of the Coffee Marathon on May 24, 2025, empowering the rural women in coffee communities in Uganda who produce for us to have a good cup of coffee.”
The marathon, themed “Uplifting the Rural Coffee Woman Out of Poverty,” will take place at the Africa Coffee Park, Uganda and seeks to raise awareness and funds for female coffee farmers.
With Tyrese Gibson’s involvement, the event is expected to attract more international attention and boost tourism and investment in Uganda’s coffee sector.
