Kampala, Uganda – The Uganda Police Force has officially cleared 2,900 venues across the country for fireworks displays during the upcoming New Year’s celebrations. This decision comes as part of the police’s proactive measures to ensure public safety and enjoyment during the festivities.

To guarantee the safe use of fireworks, the police have implemented various safety measures, including conducting thorough inspections and providing detailed guidelines to venue owners. This initiative is aimed at preventing accidents and ensuring that the celebrations proceed smoothly.

The police have collaborated closely with local authorities, including district and municipal councils, to identify and approve suitable venues for the fireworks displays.
