Uncle Chumi Accuses Spice Diana of Non-Payment for “Gwokute Gwoba” Remix

The Ugandan entertainment industry is experiencing yet another public fallout, this time involving Spice Diana and rising artist Uncle Chumi. The controversy surrounds the remix of “Gwokute Gwoba,” which both artists worked on last month.

According to Uncle Chumi, Spice Diana and her manager, Roger Lubega, reached out to him with a deal worth UGX 4 million to feature on the remix. However, a month after the song’s release, Uncle Chumi claims he has not received a single coin.

The frustrated artist took to social media, exposing the alleged breach of agreement in a video where he said:

"I will expose everything. You have been exploiting people with your manager, but I will be the last. I was forced into this remix, and now you don’t want to pay me?"

The video has sparked heated debates among fans, with many demanding answers from Spice Diana’s management team. Some fans have rallied behind Uncle Chumi, accusing established musicians of taking advantage of upcoming artists. Others, however, argue that there could have been a misunderstanding regarding the payment.

As of now, neither Spice Diana nor her management team has issued a statement regarding the allegations. However, sources close to Source Management (Spice Diana’s label) suggest that the team may soon release an official response.

If true, these claims could damage Spice Diana’s reputation, especially among young artists looking up to her as a mentor. The Ugandan music industry eagerly awaits her side of the story.
