Upcoming musician Uncle Chumi has made a bold claim regarding her collaboration with Spice Diana on the remix of her song “Gwokute Gwoba.” According to Uncle Chumi, she initially decided to feature Spice Diana as a way of supporting and uplifting her career, rather than seeking personal gains.
Uncle Chumi, who made her breakthrough last year with the original version of “Gwokute Gwoba,” revealed in a recent interview that she believed the remix would be a strategic move to help Spice Diana gain more visibility.

“I wanted to help Spice Diana because the song was already doing well. I am her friend, but I am even closer with her manager, Roger,” she stated.
Despite her intentions, the collaboration did not yield the expected benefits for Uncle Chumi. She expressed disappointment, saying she had not gained anything from the remix. The singer further stated that if Spice Diana genuinely wanted to support her as an upcoming artist, she would have given her a new song instead of featuring on the remix.
The “Gwokute Gwoba” remix has faced criticism from several industry stakeholders, including popular music promoter Abitex, who questioned its impact. The ongoing disagreements between the two singers have sparked debates within the music fraternity about how established artists engage with emerging talents.
