During the pass-out ceremony, Col. Kyomuhendo commended the graduates for their commitment to their training and emphasized the importance of discipline in both military service and personal lives. “Discipline is the foundation of a successful military career. I urge you to carry this principle into your fields of deployment,” he stated, underscoring its significance in shaping their character and the image of the UPDF.
The training program focused on equipping the cadets with essential military knowledge, particularly regarding the duties and responsibilities of non-commissioned officers. The curriculum included lessons in combat, intelligence, and modern warfare strategies, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared for both national defense and international peacekeeping missions.

Lt. Col. Frank Kaweru, Commandant of Hima Training School, expressed pride in the resilience shown by the graduates, noting that out of 372 trainees, only 361 successfully completed the course. He acknowledged that some trainees left due to issues such as indiscipline or medical challenges.
The ceremony also highlighted the need for increased female participation in military training, as only 15 women graduated from this cohort. Lt. Col. Kaweru encouraged more women to engage in military service, recognizing their commendable performance during training.
As these new officers join the ranks of the UPDF, they carry with them not only their skills but also a commitment to uphold the values instilled during their training. The graduation marks a pivotal moment for these cadets as they prepare to contribute to Uganda’s national security and stability.
