Victoria University’s Peter Mutebi Officially Declares Presidential Bid for Uganda 2026–2031

In a bold move signaling a generational shift in Uganda’s political landscape, Peter Mutebi, a prominent figure associated with Victoria University, has officially announced his candidacy for the presidency in the 2026 elections. The announcement was made public on May 5, 2025, with a campaign poster bearing the slogan “Moving Uganda to the Next Generation” and the promise of “A New Dawn for Uganda, Voices Unchained.”

Mutebi’s campaign is anchored on progressive ideals and youth empowerment, reflecting the growing demand for new leadership and innovation in Ugandan politics.
