Woman Dies After Alleged Poisoning at Mezo Noir, Police Launch Investigation.

Kampala, Uganda – The death of a woman identified as Martha at Mezo Noir nightclub has sent shockwaves through Kampala’s nightlife scene, with allegations of poisoning and foul play leading to a full-scale police investigation.

According to sources, Martha collapsed inside the club shortly after consuming alcohol. Witnesses describe her sudden deterioration as highly suspicious, prompting concerns that she may have been drugged.

Surveillance footage from Mezo Noir reportedly shows Martha entering the club’s office with Eddy, the owner’s brother. Moments later, Eddy was seen exiting in distress, before returning with others who rushed Martha to the hospital. Unfortunately, doctors confirmed her death upon arrival.

In response to the incident, authorities have detained multiple individuals for questioning. The police are treating the case as a possible homicide, pending the results of a scheduled postmortem examination.

Officials have urged clubgoers and staff to provide any relevant information that could aid in determining what transpired inside the club that night.

In the wake of the incident, Mezo Noir management has shut down operations, citing “unforeseen circumstances.” However, critics argue that the closure raises more questions than answers, fueling speculation about the nightclub’s role in the incident.

The case has ignited widespread calls for justice, with many Kampala residents urging law enforcement to thoroughly investigate the circumstances leading to Martha’s death.
