Uganda’s goalkeeper #19 Isima Watenga catches the ball during the 2025 CAF Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) Group K qualifying match between South Africa and Uganda at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto on September 6, 2024.

This match is critical for both teams in Group K of the qualifiers. Uganda currently leads the group with ten points and requires just one more point from their remaining two matches to secure qualification. In contrast, South Africa must win one of their two remaining matches against Uganda or South Sudan to ensure their place in the tournament. The stakes are high as both teams prepare to battle it out on the pitch.
